Job summary

London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Senior Practitioner for the Transition / Young Adulthood team to provide guidance to social workers and on-duty staff on casework, ensuring timely action and robust record-keeping.

The role includes acting as Safeguarding Adults Manager when required and contributing to safeguarding strategy meetings, with duties including some complex enquiries and liaison across teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of the Adults legislation and policy.
• Significant experience carrying out safeguarding adults’ enquiries.
• Experience providing professional supervision to social workers/care managers/students.
• Experience presenting cases at Strategy Meetings/Case Conferences.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes and work occasional unsocial hours.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support social workers and care managers on casework.
• Act as Safeguarding Adults Manager as required and Duty Manager when needed.
• Conduct complex enquiries and record actions clearly in Mosaic.
• Liaise with internal and external colleagues to ensure timely responses.
