What you will do

• Conduct face-to-face visits and assessments with children aged 0-17 to evaluate their needs and risks.
• Work collaboratively with the Police Child Abuse and Investigation Team for Child Protection referrals requiring investigation and assessment.
• Manage a caseload involving Children in Need and those requiring immediate attention due to complex needs or new Looked After episodes.
• Develop comprehensive plans alongside families presenting as having No Recourse to Public Funds, identifying necessary support services to meet their needs.
• Ensure efficient transfer of case responsibility to appropriate teams within Social Care for further action and support.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner

• Must possess a degree or equivalent in social work.
• Current registration with Social Work England is required.
• You should have significant frontline experience in UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker.
