Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust seeks a Senior Practitioner to provide clinical leadership across the Integrated Non-Custodial Service, coordinating liaison and diversion at first contact with the criminal justice system.

You will supervise a multidisciplinary team, manage risk and safeguarding, and work with police, courts and community partners to ensure safe, person-centred care for people with mental health needs and related vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse or registered Social Worker with current registration.
• Experience of complex assessment, care planning, clinical supervision and multi-agency working.
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills.
• Flexibility and frequent travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight of the liaison and diversion pathway.
• Offer clinical supervision and managerial supervision to the Intensive team and MDT as required.
• Develop and disseminate packages of care including evidence-based interventions for women.
• Hold a clinical caseload with adherence to professional registration and supervision.
• Provide first line support for staff in managing clinical risk and safeguarding with appropriate escalation.
• Work with Team Managers to support triage, assessment and allocation of referrals.
