Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd is seeking a Senior Practitioner in Poole, Dorset. You will lead, monitor and evaluate support practice in line with policies, coaching staff and ensuring person-centred services in customers’ homes and communities.

You will oversee a team of support workers, drive quality improvement, and work across multiple health teams to deliver safe, effective care. A 9-month fixed-term maternity cover, with potential extension, includes regular 7am–10pm shifts and weekend

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities or mental health support preferred; training can be provided.
• Driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and observe support workers to ensure best practice.
• Coach team members to handle challenging behaviours and promote reflection.
• Lead development and review of support plans and customer documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager, Support Manager and staff to implement plans.
• Support staff training and development on mental health and person-centred delivery.
• Participate in meetings to discuss customer progress and future transitions.
• Work 5 days a week 7am–10pm, including weekends; sleep-ins may be required.
