Job summary

Herefordshire Council is seeking a Senior Practitioner to join the South Locality Team on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. You will hold a small caseload and be supported to make evidence-based decisions within the locality management team.

The role requires registration with Social Work England, a social work qualification, and at least three years of post-qualified experience in Adult Social Care. Travel across Herefordshire is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England (required).
• Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
• At least three years post-qualified experience in Adult Social Care.
• Experience in line management and supervision.
• Experience in person-centred, asset-based, outcome-focused assessment and care management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within the locality management team to support performance and lead practice.
• Manage a small caseload while making evidence-based decisions.
• Work with diverse client groups across health and social care needs.
• Develop specialisms and maintain professional development.
• Travel across Herefordshire is required for the post.
