Zusammenfassung

Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Children’s Social Care seeks a Senior Practitioner to lead one of our Family Help Teams, delivering relationship-based, trauma-informed practice to support families and keep children safe at home where possible.

You will manage a caseload with complex needs, write professional assessments and reports, present in court, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with health, education and support services to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifikationen

• A relevant social work qualification.
• Significant social work experience.
• Knowledge of the legislative framework that governs children’s services.
• Knowledge of theory and practice applicable to social work.
• IT skills to enable operation of standard electronic systems.
• Passion, commitment, and motivation to support the most vulnerable families in our area.

Aufgaben

• Respond to, coordinate and deliver a range of social care services to children, young people and families.
• Undertake single assessments and section 47 child protection investigations.
• Work with partners across health, education and adult services to safeguard children.
• Supervise a Family Support Practitioner and mentor newly qualified social workers.
