Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Senior Practitioner to join the Duty and Assessment Team in Telford on a locum, full-time basis. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, completing timely assessments, and working with multi-agency partners to safeguard children.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with professional registration and commitment to CPD.
• Experience in Duty and Assessment, Referral and Assessment, Front Door, or Children's Safeguarding services.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and exercise sound professional judgement under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload, complete timely assessments, care planning and interventions for children and families.
• Respond to referrals and safeguarding concerns, assess risk and make informed decisions.
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments contributing to child protection processes and court proceedings as needed.
• Build effective relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners to inform assessment and planning.
• Apply legislation, policy and best practice to deliver high-quality, child-centred services.
• Use professional judgement to identify interventions, review progress and adapt plans.
• Carry out preventative work with families to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality assessments, reports and court documentation.
• Contribute to reflective practice and continuous service improvement.
