Job summary

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner for the Children with Disability service. You will lead and support a team, supervise peers, and ensure high standards of safeguarding and practice while working within statutory guidance and local policies.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with ASYE completed.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Experience supervising and mentoring social workers on complex/high-risk cases.
• Enhanced DBS and barred list checks.

Responsibilities

• Undertake work with children, young people and families with high needs, maintaining a small caseload.
• Supervise, support, advise and mentor newly qualified and less experienced colleagues on complex cases.
• Chair strategy meetings and drive adherence to legislation and safeguarding best practices.
• Guide colleagues to deliver high quality social work for permanence and looked-after children.
