Job summary

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Children with Disabilities Team (CWD) in Northamptonshire. You will work with children and families, maintaining a small caseload while providing expert social work leadership and guidance to colleagues.

You will supervise and mentor newly qualified staff, chair strategy meetings, and ensure compliance with legislation and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced social work expertise required with ability to supervise and mentor others.
• ASYE completed and registered with Social Work England.
• Experience supervising senior social workers on complex/high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Undertake work with children and families requiring advanced social work expertise with a small caseload.
• Supervise, support, advise and mentor newly qualified and less experienced colleagues on complex/high‑risk cases.
• Chair strategy meetings and ensure adherence to legislation, guidance and safeguarding best practices.
