Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, based in the South West Prisons, seeks an experienced Practice Support Lead (Band 7) to join the regional practice support team. You will work across HMP Guys Marsh, HMP Portland and HMP The Verne, delivering specialist clinical practice, staff development and infection prevention support.

You will lead education, supervise practice, support audits and incident actions, and promote safeguarding and quality improvement within a secure healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration and a relevant Level 6 qualification
• Substantial senior practitioner experience at Band 6 or above
• Full driving licence and access to transport for travel between prison sites
• Experience in infection prevention and control and staff development

Responsibilities

• Support induction, development and competency assessment of clinical staff across Dorset prisons
• Provide specialist clinical advice, education and training
• Coordinate infection prevention and control audits and outbreaks
• Support quality improvement projects and incident action plans
• Travel between sites and liaise with partners
