Job summary

Birmingham Children Trust is seeking a Senior Practitioner Educator to join the Practice Academy Team in Birmingham. The Practice Academy brings together learning and development opportunities for social workers pre and post qualification across the Trust.

It delivers ASYE support and accredited programmes, including the ACFP and PEPS pathway. You will lead on learning, quality assure practice, and support learners across multiple programmes, working with partners to raise standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising social work practitioners and supporting learners.
  • Full PEPS award for experienced Practice Educators required.
  • Knowledge of quality assuring good social work practice.
  • Senior Practitioner Educator role includes delivering learning across pre/post qualifications.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, including use of aids, with a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to collaborate with professionals and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery and support of learning programmes across the Practice Academy.
  • Improve the quality of professional social work practice across the casework cycle.
  • Support social workers through pre and post qualification learning opportunities.
