Job summary

Somerset Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner Practice Development to drive high-quality, evidence-informed social work across the Learning Disabilities Service in Somerset. You will supervise Social Workers, students and NEW qualified practitioners, lead practice improvement and support workforce development in line with the Care Act 2014 and the Professional Capabilities Framework.

Responsibilities

Provide fortnightly supervision and support to students and newly qualified social workers
Lead and contribute to practice development initiatives across the service
Support managers with supervision, performance reviews, induction and staff development
Ensure practice aligns with Social Work England standards and the Professional Capabilities Framework
Act as a source of expertise for social care staff through coaching and mentoring
Collaborate with partners to deliver a learning culture and continuous improvement
