Paddock Wood Chartered Accountancy Practice seeks a Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced general practice team. Based in a rural office with hybrid working, the role focuses on statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, with scope for self-assessment and management accounts work if desired.

The successful candidate will report to the Manager, manage a mixed client portfolio, supervise junior staff, onboard new clients and assist with ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
• 3–5 years in practice with hands-on accounts, tax and VAT experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
• Manage client portfolio and client relations.
• Oversee and review the work of junior staff and bookkeepers.

TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practicerecruitment agency is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practicebased in Paddock Wood, who are looking for a Senior Practice Accountant to jointheir experienced team in a general practice capacity, primarily focused on statutory accounts and corporate tax returns, but there will be an opportunity to support with some self assessment tax work, and some more interesting management accounts work too, shoudl you wish. Our client is willing to build the positionaround the candidates experience and aspirations.

As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will report directlyinto the Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up ofsmall business owners through to multi million pound groups. You will be based in an amazingoffice in a rural location in Paddock Wood and also have the opportunity forhybrid working and flexible working hours. You will be responsible for:

Requirements

• Youwill be qualified, or studying ACA/ACCA,or qualified by experience with at least 3-5 years’ experience withinpractice.
  
• Youwill have worked as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within a practiceenvironment and have hands on experience of accounts, ideally managementaccounts, tax and VAT.
  
• £35,000 - £50,000, based on experience
