Placements24 is seeking a Senior Public Relations Executive to join our client in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead strategic PR campaigns, manage media relations, craft press materials, and shape brand messaging across platforms.

The role requires a track record of high-profile campaigns and strong storytelling. The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of PR experience, a relevant bachelor's degree (master's preferred), and excellent leadership and networking abilities in the South African media

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• 8–10 years of progressive PR experience in agency or corporate setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive PR strategies to meet corporate objectives.
• Lead media relations: outreach, pitching, and follow-up with journalists.
• Create press materials, media kits, and PR collateral.
• Build relationships with media contacts and industry influencers.
• Monitor media coverage and report on KPIs.
• Manage crisis communications and provide strategic guidance.
• Organize press conferences, media events, and product launches.
• Collaborate with marketing, advertising and content teams for integrated campaigns.
• Mentor junior PR team members and manage budgets effectively.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
