Job summary

Syntech Recruitment are seeking a Senior Transmission Test & Development Engineer to join an established engineering business near Leamington Spa. This hands-on role focuses on gearboxes, transmissions, driveline and powertrain systems, planning and carrying out test programmes, operating test rigs and dynos, and analysing data.

Qualifications

Experience in transmission, gearbox, driveline or powertrain test and development.
Strong mechanical engineering background.
Experience with test rigs, dynos or similar equipment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation.
Automotive or powertrain experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead testing and development of transmissions, gearboxes and driveline systems.
Plan test programmes covering performance, efficiency, durability and NVH.
Operate transmission and powertrain test rigs / dynamometers.
Set up test equipment, instrumentation, sensors and data acquisition systems.
Analyse test data and identify performance or reliability issues.
Work with Design, Development and Manufacturing Engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
