Job summary

Morson Talent in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Test & Development Engineer to join an engineering team focused on gearbox design projects and product engineering activities. The role covers test planning, execution, and analysis across the full lifecycle, with emphasis on validation against internal, client, and certification standards.

You will work closely with the Head of Test & Development Engineering to deliver robust mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with product testing and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of certification requirements and test methodologies.
• Experience with calibration and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with machinery safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Define and specify product validation and performance test requirements.
• Create test plans, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee data capture, processing, and analysis.
• Supervise test rig setup and commissioning, including lubrication/cooling systems.
• Conduct shaft line and coupling balance assessments, vibration measurements.
• Provide technical oversight and troubleshooting for test programs.
• Generate and present test reports to clients.
• Support operational teams during test programs and service activities.
• Assist with design reviews and bid proposals as required.
• Maintain detailed test data logs and documentation.
• Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA and continuous improvement.
