Job summary

Dynex Semiconductor Ltd is actively seeking an experienced Power Electronics Engineer to lead design, analysis, testing and validation of high-power semiconductor assemblies and power conversion systems.

You will manage the complete electrical design process from system-level analysis to detailed assembly design, simulation, testing and customer support, ensuring robust performance and reliability across demanding applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years' experience in power electronics/high-power electrical engineering.
Strong knowledge of transformers, power semiconductors and three-phase power systems.
Experience with simulation tools (SPICE, PLECS).
Ability to perform first-principles calculations and technical investigations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of working independently.
Good communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Analyse three-phase power systems and rectifier topologies (six-pulse, twelve-pulse, multi-pulse).
Perform transformer analysis for star/star, star/delta, delta/star, delta/delta configurations.
Assess harmonics, power factor, voltage regulation and fault currents.
Design high-voltage diode/thyristor assemblies and current sharing networks.
Develop RC snubbers, surge suppression, crowbar protection, and low-inductance busbars.
Carry out thermal analysis for convection, forced-air and water-cooled systems.
