Job summary

Peaple Talent is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design and verification of high-voltage power supplies for critical infrastructure and defence. You will oversee full lifecycle ownership from concept to production, including analogue/digital circuits and magnetics, with direct leadership of the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND/HNC in Electronic, Electrical, or Power Electronics Engineering.
• Extensive HV power supply design background (topologies, insulation, creepage/clearance, safety).
• Hands-on with component selection, prototype debugging, and design verification.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills; able to provide technical leadership.
• UK citizenship and BPSS screening eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design HV power supplies, power conversion systems and magnetics.
• Develop products using schematic capture, PCB layout (KiCAD or equivalent) and simulations.
• Perform testing, verification and fault-finding on prototype equipment.
• Produce design records, BOMs, calculations and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement and customers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
