Job summary

Oliver Bernard is seeking a Senior Database Engineer/Administrator (DBA) in London to design, implement and support high-performance systems across the exchange. You’ll work with software engineering, trading support and DevOps teams and own initiatives in DevOps, Cloud usage and automation.

Requirements include PostgreSQL DBA/engineering skills, ClickHouse, strong cloud knowledge, Terraform/Ansible for IaC, Python coding, and knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps best practices would be ideal.

Qualifications

Proven database engineering / administration skills with PostgreSQL.
Great knowledge of database design, implementations, upgrades and migrations.
ClickHouse skills and knowledge.
Strong Cloud knowledge.
Terraform and / or Ansible skills (IaC).
Good Python coding ability.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps best practices would be ideal.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support high-performance, cutting-edge database systems across the exchange.
Work across database upgrades, migrations and security, with ongoing performance tuning and monitoring automation.
Collaborate with software engineering, trading support and DevOps teams to own and drive DevOps, Cloud use and automation.
