Job summary

Amelco UK Ltd, based in City of London (Shoreditch) with hybrid arrangements, seeks a senior database/data platform engineer to own a hybrid PostgreSQL and analytics stack. You will manage live trading data flow, CDC pipelines, schema evolution, and monitoring across Postgres, ClickHouse and Snowflake.

Required: expert PostgreSQL, hands-on ClickHouse, Snowflake administration, AWS RDS/Aurora, Linux and shell scripting, plus monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Expert-level PostgreSQL with performance tuning and indexing.

Responsibilities

• Administer a hybrid database environment across PostgreSQL, ClickHouse and Snowflake.
• Own CDC pipelines streaming data from production Postgres to analytics.
• Manage schema evolution for transactional to analytical formats.
• Implement unified observability and monitor Snowflake credits and ClickHouse usage.
• Automate maintenance, deployments and monitoring tasks using Python, Bash and/or Ansible.
