Oliver Bernard's client, a leading hedge fund in London, seeks a Database Engineer/DBA to own and optimize PostgreSQL databases and provide high-performance data services.

The role focuses on migrations, security, performance tuning, and automation using Terraform/Ansible, ClickHouse, and cloud technologies; collaboration with DevOps, software engineering and trading support is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven database engineering/administration skills with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of database design, upgrades and migrations.
• ClickHouse skills and knowledge.
• Strong Cloud knowledge.
• Terraform and/or Ansible for IaC.
• Good Python coding ability.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps practices would be ideal.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support high-performance PostgreSQL databases.
