Job Description:

The Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Information and Discovery, Old Road Campus, Oxford, OX3 7LF is seeking a Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist with a clinical or biomedical background to lead research on malaria chemoprevention. The Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO), based at the Centre, is establishing a new research theme in malaria chemoprevention in partnership with Malaria Consortium, the largest implementer of chemoprevention in Africa. The role involves coordinating data sharing among stakeholders, meeting project milestones, formulating research questions from available data, and collaborating with PhD students and staff. Responsibilities include contributing to grant applications, producing scientific reports and publications, and conducting detailed data analyses. Candidates must hold a PhD/DPhil in clinical medicine or biomedical research, demonstrate success in solving quantitative problems, and possess excellent communication skills. Experience with biomedical data is highly desirable.
