Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead to guide staff teams in creating capable environments where children with complex needs thrive. You will focus on delivering a high-quality PBS approach, and actively involve children and families to identify support needs and personalised plans.

You will lead staff in person-centred PBS training, model best practice, and coach teams to implement proactive strategies across our setting.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years’ experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.
A relevant SEN/Health & Social Care qualification.
In-depth knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
Understanding of individual behaviour support plans, young person risk assessments and targeted support.
Experience delivering training needs.
Extensive experience working in partnership with young people and their families.
Ability to support others to understand behaviours and collaborate to create proactive strategies.
Highly organised and takes initiative.
Honesty and empathy are essential.

Responsibilities

Develop, organise and deliver a high-quality PBS approach.
Co-produce with children and families to identify needs and develop effective individualised plans.
Coach staff in person-centred PBS training and the modelling of good practice.
Ensure staff benefit from delivery of training and coaching relating to individualised plans.
