Job summary

Warwick District Council is seeking an experienced policy planner to join our Planning Policy and Site Delivery team. The role centers on planning policy, delivery of major development sites and the Community Infrastructure Levy, with involvement in the South Warwickshire Local Plan.

You will support neighbourhood plans, provide expert policy advice to colleagues and participate in consultations and examinations. Hybrid working with some office attendance is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning policy and delivery of local plan-related work.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills.
• Analytical thinker with ability to synthesize policy issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop planning policy documents and Local Plan pieces.
• Support delivery of major development sites and Community Infrastructure Levy.
• Provide policy advice to colleagues in Development Management and other teams.
• Assist in neighbourhood plan preparation and public consultations.
