Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in Wales is seeking a Band 7 podiatrist to work across the diabetic foot ulcer clinic and a vascular ward, focusing on inpatient podiatry for a high‑risk patient group.

You will work with the Lead Podiatrist, participate in twice‑daily multidisciplinary clinics, and lead training, supervision and assessment of staff while delivering highly specialist podiatric care.

The role emphasises inpatient work over emergency care; Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in podiatry is required.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Minimum five years NHS post-registration experience.
• Experience across podiatry specialties.
• Welsh language desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient podiatry care to patients with foot problems.
• Contribute to twice-daily multidisciplinary diabetic foot ulcer clinics.
• Work alongside the Lead Podiatrist on inpatient care.
• Train, supervise and assess staff performance.
• Deliver highly specialist podiatric care to individuals and groups.
• Manage complex cases and support self-management of conditions.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate best practice; act as a source of expertise.
• Apply specialist knowledge and evidence-based practice.
