Job summary

Capita, in partnership with Selborne, is seeking a Senior PMO Planner to own detailed Microsoft Project plans and drive reliable schedules across complex naval programmes. The role is home-based with occasional travel to Glasgow, and requires valid Security Clearance (SC) to be eligible.

Fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with potential for extension. Capita offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package in a defence-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Manage multiple project and/or programme schedules updating them from live information.
• Identify schedule risks, issues and planning assumptions; escalate appropriately.
• Provide clear planning insight to support governance, reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Microsoft Project plans using predecessors and successors.
• Manage multiple project and programme plans, keeping dates, milestones and dependencies accurate.
• Review project documentation and meeting notes; update plans to reflect actions and changes.
• Identify schedule risks, issues and planning assumptions; escalate through the right forums.
• Provide clear planning insight to support governance, reporting and decision-making.
• Work independently while collaborating closely with project teams and PMO colleagues.
