Job summary

Lewisham is recruiting a Project Manager to lead refurbishment and maintenance works in social housing across Lewisham properties. You will manage a small on-site team, visit sites, survey conditions, define scopes of work and appoint contractors to deliver programmes costing £20,000–£100,000, with overall £10 million of work planned over three years.

You will oversee approximately three new properties each week, maintain trackers for progress, costs and handovers, and coordinate façade works

Qualifications

• Experience in project management for social housing refurbishment or council housing projects.
• Ability to manage both a site team and a demanding council client.
• Comfort with detailed assessment of works and on-site problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6-7 on refurbishment projects.
• Visit properties, carry out surveys, define scopes and appoint contractors.
• Oversee about three new properties weekly; typical programmes 6-7 weeks.
• Maintain trackers for progress, costs and handovers.
• Coordinate façade works within the broader refurbishment programme and liaise with Lewisham Council.
