Job summary

Nebius is building a world-class web access layer for AI agents. Tavily, part of Nebius, handles index, retrieval, freshness, and cost; you will own that infrastructure as a product and define what good means for each use case.

In this hands-on senior IC role, you will work with our search engineering and research teams, as well as evaluation and customer success, to shape the index roadmap and deliver high-quality results for our customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in high-scale search or ranking systems.
• Background as an engineer, ML engineer, or researcher on production systems.
• Direct experience shipping a search or ranking change end to end.
• Strong data foundation: design experiments, read eval results, distinguish real improvements.
• Product judgment to decide what to build and defend it to engineers and customers.
• Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval in agentic workflows.
• Comfort with ambiguity, moving between strategy and execution.
• Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Set the quality bar and release criteria for search: define what good means and what a change must clear.
• Own depth, latency, and cost tradeoffs across search products.
• Shape the direction of our index: coverage, freshness, and quality bar.
• Build a roadmap for search infrastructure as agents become the main consumer.
• Know how we compare to alternatives and close gaps that matter.
• Collaborate with customer success to understand real workflow gaps and set quality priorities.
• Partner with data and vertical product owners on corpus content and result shaping.
