Job summary

Notion4 Ltd in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced PLC Control Systems Engineer (5-10 years) to design, program, test, and commission industrial control systems for power solutions projects, including diesel generator controls and ATS/AMF.

You will lead the full lifecycle from URS to on-site commissioning, collaborating with electrical design, project managers, and clients to ensure safe, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in Electrical, Electronic, Control/Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• ECS/CSCS or safety passports.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work on client sites.
• Nice to have: Functional Safety awareness (e.g., TÜV), CompEx/ATEX awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design & develop control system deliverables (URS, FDS, DDS/SDS, I/O lists, alarms, test plans).
• Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA apps to standards and client specs.
• Configure/g integrate generator controllers and load-sharing logic; ATS/AMF.
• Interface PLCs with protection relays, meters, breakers, UPS, and BMS/EMS.
• Lead FAT/SAT, on-site commissioning, and handover documentation.
