Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Plating Supervisor for a Belfast site on a 6-month rolling contract. You will lead plating teams, plan daily activities, and ensure production stays on target while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have an apprenticeship or equivalent, strong supervisory experience, and proven leadership in heavy engineering or fabrication. BPSS clearance is required for onboarding.

Qualifications

• An apprenticeship, advanced qualification or equivalent experience in fabrication or a related technical discipline.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Strong experience as a Plater within heavy engineering or fabrication.
• Excellent people-management and communication skills.
• The confidence to lead, coordinate and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting plating teams on the shop floor.
• Planning daily activities and allocating work and resources.
• Keeping production moving and monitoring progress against targets.
• Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings and promoting safe working.
• Maintaining quality standards and dealing with defects or rework.
• Reporting progress, risks and issues to management.
• Supporting team performance, attendance, onboarding and development.
