Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join the Product Eligibility team, based in the UK with flexible hybrid work between London and Cherkasy. You will help overhaul how we capture and validate customers' residence, present location and address information, and contribute to platform-scale systems used by Wise's core transfer, payout and partner integrations.

• Experience with large scale distributed systems.
• Java 8+ proficiency.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization and schema design.
• Strong product mindset and customer experience focus; data-driven decisions.
• Good collaboration skills.
• Experience in designing, deploying and maintaining clean RESTful APIs.
• Follow coding best practices, code reviews and open feedback.
• Enjoy writing testable code and Test Driven Development.
• Nice to have Spring Boot, Kafka and BFFs.
