Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform team to own frameworks, tooling, and CI/CD infrastructure. You will write Go, design automated test frameworks, and work with Kubernetes as part of an AI-driven quality discipline.

You’ll help shape testing with LLM-based tooling to improve coverage and reliability across services. You will mentor engineers, build scalable CI/CD pipelines, and partner with teams to raise test coverage and resilience while operating in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong Go experience (min 1 year) and production-grade code.
• AI-assisted engineering with LLM tools in workflows.
• Experience building/maintaining CI pipelines (GitHub Actions or Cloud Build).
• Designing automated test frameworks for microservices.
• Kubernetes proficiency with Helm and security best practices.
• Startup experience and ability to own end-to-end tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and own automated test frameworks for REST/gRPC APIs.
• Use AI/LLM tooling to accelerate test generation and regression coverage.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and Cloud Build).
• Design load/stress tests and resilience experiments.
• Improve developer experience via standardized tooling.
• Collaborate with teams to raise coverage, reliability, and speed.
• Root-cause failures in production and drive fixes.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of quality.
