AVEVA is recruiting for an R&D Principal Technologist in Cambridge, UK. The role sits in the E&D Foundations team, focused on researching, designing, implementing, and maintaining core software components for the Dabacon Products suite using C#, C++, Fortran, and modern build pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong design and coding skills with a track record of quality results.
• Willingness to learn via self-education, internal training and mentoring.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience developing/maintaining software in a legacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a deep understanding of software, its modules and the running contexts.
• Demonstrate sound decision making to deliver work in a timely manner.
• Design, implement and maintain core components used by other product teams.
