Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and tune Linux-based compute and infrastructure platforms powering its low-latency electronic trading businesses. You will write code, automate deployment, and drive optimization from hardware to kernel and network layers.

You will mentor teams, shape technical strategy, and leverage Agentic AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining governance and reliability across platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/systems engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Bash.
• Deep Linux engineering expertise including kernel tuning and performance benchmarking.
• Experience designing for low-latency, high-throughput environments.
• Experience with Chef or Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-performance Linux platforms for low-latency electronic trading, from hardware to kernel level.
• Architect new system designs and deployment models (immutable infra, containers, automated pipelines).
• Perform deep performance engineering and latency optimization (kernel tuning, CPU isolation, NUMA, IRQ affinity).
• Write production-grade code and automation to improve tooling and reliability.
• Leverage Agentic AI tools to accelerate engineering tasks and remediation.
• Interface with hardware/software vendors on roadmaps and platform evolution.
• Make resource/budget decisions and govern engineering processes.
• Deliver reusable technical solutions across businesses and domains.
• Mentor SRE and senior stakeholders in automation and infra management.
