Job summary

Mimica, an AI-powered process intelligence platform, seeks a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our remote-first engineering team. You will help keep environments healthy, unblock teams, and build infrastructure that lets everyone move faster across Kubernetes, IaC, and cloud platforms.

You’ll contribute to multi-region deployments, BYOC, Terraform to Crossplane migration, FinOps, and robust observability with Honeycomb and Grafana. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes on GKE, EKS, or other managed services.
• Terraform as the primary IaC tool; Terragrunt is a plus.
• IAM and identity management on GCP or AWS.
• Experience with ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps tool.
• Observability tooling: Honeycomb, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and tooling.
• Background in startups or scale-ups; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong communication and collaboration, translating infra to engineers.
• Experience leading or participating in incident responses.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in developing mature, resilient apps on GKE, providing guidance and unblockings.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and ArgoCD; work on Python platform apps.
• Manage GKE environments across multiple regions; handle IAM and identity management.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve issues; monitor health of databases and components.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform availability and incident handling.
• Contribute to migrating IaC from Terraform to Crossplane; expand multi-region/clustering.
• Drive FinOps to gain visibility and control over multi-account cloud spend.
• Design access patterns for BYOC and single-tenancy environments; simplify multi-environment navigation.
• Instrument and improve observability with Honeycomb, Grafana, and related tools.
