Job summary

Kalepa is seeking smart engineers to join the infrastructure team in York, UK. You will maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure security and compliance for our cloud platform.

The role focuses on improving performance and cost, standardizing deployments, and sustaining observability and incident response as we scale. Collaborate with global teams of engineers to build scalable backend solutions; strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or dev-ops experience in CI/CD, security, and infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging and problem-solving.
• Experience with LLMs/generative AI is a bonus.
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of Terraform, IaaC practices, Docker or similar tools.
• Experience with serverless technologies and cloud environments.
• Ownership mindset, proactive communication with stakeholders.

• As part of the infrastructure team, you will work on the infrastructure and tooling that power our core platform
• You’ll maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate operational workflows, and ensure we stay secure and compliant to the industry standards
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include improving infrastructure performance and reliability, monitoring and optimizing system cost, and collaborating with engineering teams to standardize environments and deployment patterns
• You’ll help to maintain observability and incident response processes, and ensure the scalability of our cloud-based systems as we continue to grow
• You’ll collaborate with a global team of full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions as we continue to grow
