Job summary

Medtronic Digital Technologies seeks a seasoned Platform Engineer to develop and maintain critical software engineering tools and architecture. You will drive efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across CI/CD, IaC and observability while collaborating with multiple software groups.

The role requires 6+ years in platform engineering or DevOps, strong AWS experience, and the willingness to commute to London 2–3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in platform engineering, DevOps or SRE with IaC experience.
• Experience with OpenTofu, EKS and Helm for infrastructure tooling.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and break down complex problems.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency with AWS, databases, APIs and modern DevOps practices.
• Willingness to commute to London 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain infrastructure as code repositories to support engineers.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and automate processes.
• Provide observability tools enabling self-discovery of issues.
• Identify gaps in developer productivity and design solutions.
• Mentor colleagues inside and outside the team.
