Job summary

SR2 REC LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support assessment and design of secure AWS and GCP environments.

You will work with the Lead Cloud Architect to validate technical decisions, develop PoCs for a future multi-cloud platform, and help shape governance, IAM and provisioning at enterprise scale.

This role emphasizes Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions in a regulated or government-adjacent setting.

Qualifications

• Extensive enterprise experience with AWS and GCP.
• Experience designing multi-cloud landing zones and large-scale account structures.
• Strong IAM, security governance and audit logging capabilities.
• Proficient with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to support the assessment and design of a secure enterprise AWS and GCP environment.

Working with the Lead Cloud Architect, you will assess the existing estate, validate technical decisions and develop proof-of-concepts for the future multi-cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Assess AWS and GCP environments, including IAM, security, governance and platform configuration.

• Support the design of multi-cloud landing zones and governance models.

• Review account / project structures, access controls, logging and security tooling.

• Develop proof-of-concepts for landing zones, provisioning and governance.

• Build Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Support CI/CD automation, ideally using GitHub Actions.

• Identify technical risks, dependencies and implementation considerations.

Essential experience

• Strong enterprise engineering experience across AWS and GCP.

• Experience with cloud landing zones and large-scale account / organisation structures.

• Strong IAM, security, governance and audit logging experience.

• Advanced Terraform / Infrastructure as Code capability.

• Experience with AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, Google Cloud Foundation Fabric or similar.

• Strong understanding of multi-cloud platform engineering.

• Experience in government, public sector or regulated environments.
