UKAEA is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the delivery of secure, robust software platforms. You will work with scientists and engineers to design and implement solutions across cloud, DevSecOps and MLOps, while advancing engineering practices within the Software Operations Group.

You will mentor colleagues, promote secure-by-design principles, and contribute to shaping modern software‑engineering workflows in a high‑impact research environment at Culham, UK.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification or equivalent experience in a scientific, engineering or technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead significant technical projects delivering secure, reliable platforms and infrastructure.
• Design and improve resilient solutions across cloud, DevSecOps, MLOps, software delivery and data workflows.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand needs and deliver efficient, reproducible solutions.
