Job summary

Permutable Technologies Limited is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to design and run the data platform behind our market intelligence products. You’ll build reliable pipelines, scalable storage and production infrastructure across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, Docker, RDS/PostgreSQL and S3.

You’ll drive event‑driven architecture, AI‑infrastructure and IaC via Pulumi and GitHub Actions. This role blends software engineering, data engineering and production operations, with a focus on reliability,

Qualifications

• Production software engineering experience in a general‑purpose language (Python/Java/Scala) with SQL.
• Ability to read, reason about and change an existing codebase; testing, reviews and safe releases.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve production data pipelines, including reruns, backfills and changing schemas.
• Develop tested, maintainable software with code reviews and safe releases.
• Help shape data storage and modelling decisions for systems using data.
• Develop cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows to make changes repeatable.
• Build reusable libraries, templates or workflows for other engineers.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, data quality checks and recovery procedures.
• Work with engineers and data users to understand requirements and document solutions.
