Job summary

Atos is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design, deliver and operate enterprise platforms supporting major client transformation programmes. You will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, working with client stakeholders, architects and programme teams to ensure secure, scalable platform solutions aligned to business outcomes.

In this role you will lead hands-on engineering, people leadership and customer engagement, shaping platform capabilities across cloud platforms, IaC, DevOps

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering cloud and platform solutions within complex enterprise environments (Azure / AWS).
• Proven ability to work with external clients and senior stakeholders.
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical workshops and architecture discussions.
• Strong Azure expertise and cloud-native engineering experience.
• Kubernetes, containerisation and modern platform engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience operating within regulated, secure or mission-critical environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of cloud and platform solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with client technical and delivery stakeholders.
• Act as senior platform engineering representative in client meetings, workshops and governance forums.
• Provide technical leadership during discovery, architecture, mobilisation and delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers.
• Define platform standards, engineering patterns and operational best practices.
• Drive automation through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure platforms are secure, resilient and compliant with client and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering teams and programme leaders to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Act as the escalation point for critical platform and infrastructure issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost optimisation and operational excellence.
