Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) is building a cloud and compute foundation to enable scientific breakthroughs. The role focuses on delivering secure platforms, self-service guardrails, and scalable infrastructure to accelerate experimentation and results.

You will collaborate with research and data teams to support diverse workloads, from Python notebooks to distributed clusters, while maintaining auditable delivery pipelines and governance controls.

Qualifications

• Proven platform engineering experience with automation of operational processes.
• Proactive attitude and drive to automate operational structure.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI).
• Proficiency with declarative infrastructure provisioning (e.g., Terraform).
• Comfort operating large-scale, resilient Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in system-level languages (Python/Go/Java) with scripting.

Responsabilités

• Architect, build, and operate our cloud platform, delivering resilient compute, network, and storage, including GPU clusters.
• Drive CI/CD/GitOps pipelines to enforce automated, repeatable infrastructure changes.
• Design and deploy Policy-as-Code governance and security controls.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and telemetry framework with clear SLOs for robust operations.
• Partner with Research and Data teams to enable self-service workloads from Python notebooks to distributed clusters.
