Job summary

Catapult is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer based in London to design, build and run the next-generation cloud platform. You will own infrastructure, automate provisioning, and drive security and reliability across the global environment.

You will collaborate with security, IT and engineering teams to embed security controls in CI/CD pipelines and scale the platform to support athlete data and video services.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in DevOps, SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering with leadership.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud and security/compliance practices.
• Strong background in IaC, CI/CD pipelines and observability tooling.
• Proven track record redesigning platforms and cloud infra based on requirements.
• Solid understanding of AppSec and secure pipelines.
• Experience with hybrid/on-prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure provisioning and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible).
• Design, build and maintain logging, monitoring, and SLO/SLI frameworks.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe delivery.
• Oversee cloud and on-prem infrastructure for reliability and security alignment.
• Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
• Lead security-first approach with Security and IT teams.
• Define long-term technical roadmap for Catapult’s global cloud platform.
