Job summary

Archer is collaborating with J.P. Morgan to connect exceptional professionals for a Senior Platform Engineer role in the GAP Core Engineering team.

You will build, upgrade, and operate Cloud Foundry foundations at scale, while gradually expanding Kubernetes platform engineering scope. The position emphasizes automation, secure coding practices, and modernization of platform tooling in production environments.

Qualifications

• Mentor junior engineers and interns through pairing and code reviews.
• Own large initiatives end-to-end, from planning to delivery.
• Communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation that deploys, upgrades, and operates Cloud Foundry foundations across multiple data centers.
• Own large technical initiatives end-to-end with plan, structure, and delivery coordination.
• Modernize infrastructure as code and reduce pipeline debt to speed upgrades.
• Collaborate with infrastructure providers on platform-impacting changes and automate the platform side of work.
• Plan environment teardowns, rebuilds, and high-risk changes with minimal disruption.
