Job summary

Akuna Capital is seeking a Platform Engineer to own cloud and infrastructure projects across hybrid-cloud environments. You will design scalable solutions, automate with IaC, and collaborate with Trading, Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to boost reliability.

In this role you will manage Kubernetes (EKS and on‑prem), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP, while advancing security, governance, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Platform/Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles.
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect) preferred.
• Deep experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production (EKS & on-premise).
• Strong expertise designing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS; GCP experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Terraform and IaC; modular design and state management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud solutions and automate infrastructure as code.
• Improve cloud governance, security, and observability across hybrid-cloud environments.
• Monitor and optimize production systems, clusters, and deployments in collaboration with teams.
• Evaluate architectures and provide recommendations for scalable, reliable platforms.
• Provision, configure, upgrade, and monitor technologies like Kubernetes, Spark, and distributed databases.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive CI/CD improvement.
