Job summary

FIS Banking Solutions UK Limited seeks a Platform Engineer to design and operate multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure (EKS/GKE/AKS) and own GitOps delivery, observability, DR, and security. You will contribute to AI-driven SRE automation and support hybrid deployments for Tier-1 banks.

The role emphasizes ownership across the full stack, collaboration with security teams, and delivering reliable production platforms in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes experience (EKS/GKE/AKS) and operators/CRDs are a bonus.
• Terraform across multi-cloud environments.
• GitOps tooling with Flux or ArgoCD.
• Kafka or event streaming experience.
• Distributed SQL databases familiarity.
• Go or Rust or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure for five-nines workloads.
• Implement Terraform, Helm, and GitOps across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Own DR, failover, backup/restore, and multi-region resiliency; drive zero-trust security and cryptographic audit trails.
• Develop and maintain observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.
• Lead AI-SRE automation and support on-prem and air-gapped deployments; mentor the team.
