Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Manchester to shape and scale our engineering platform. You will build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service tooling for product teams, while driving reliability, security and FinOps across the organization.

You’ll collaborate with Product Engineering and InfoSec, mentor peers, and explore AI-assisted tooling to streamline workflows. Hybrid role with 2 office days per week and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, IaC, containers (Kubernetes), CI/CD, observability and automation.
• Ability to work pragmatically and across teams, handling ambiguity.

Responsibilities

I’m recruiting for a Senior Platform Engineer on behalf of a client, a well-established, high-growth online business with millions of customers. They’re investing heavily in their engineering platform and need someone to help shape it.

The role

• Build and improve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, self-service tooling and automation for product teams
• Improve reliability, observability, security and cloud cost (FinOps)
• Work across Product Engineering, InfoSec and wider teams to turn problems into simple, scalable solutions
• Explore how AI-assisted tooling can improve engineering workflows
• Mentor other engineers; occasional on-call

What you’ll need

• Strong platform, cloud or infrastructure background, ideally AWS
• Experience with a mix of IaC, containers (Kubernetes), CI/CD, observability and automation
• Pragmatic, comfortable with ambiguity and working across teams
