Senior Platform Engineer

Description
  • Who we’re looking for: A Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with experience in AWS, EKS & ideally Azure
  • The challenge: To lead the design and implementation of build, release, deployment and infrastructure for the Tillo platform across multiple services while migrating from Azure to AWS
  • Where you’ll work: This role will require one day attendance per month at our Hove HQ and one day per week at our London office

Day to day this role will
  • Lead a migration from Azure to AWS, maintaining all Azure and AWS Architecture and Services
  • Support security of the platform and infrastructure
  • Operate Container Orchestration Solutions (Kubernetes / EKS)
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Design, build and manage Infrastructure as Code
  • Work in an agile way following DevOps principles
  • Manage disaster recovery, monitoring and alerting
  • Mentor Platform and Software engineers on best practices

We’re looking for strong experience with
  • AWS as a Cloud Provider, particularly managing EKS workload & some experience with Azure as a Cloud Provider
  • Working in the PHP and/or Python and/or .net ecosystems
  • Writing Infrastructure as Code (ideally in Pulumi)
  • Deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
  • Git / source control
  • Configuration Management systems (such as Ansible or Chef)
  • Communicating the benefits of DevOps practices such as Agile ways of working, theory of constraints, and SLO-based monitoring
  • Working in a fast-scaling business, and embracing the changes and challenges this brings

It’s not essential, but we’d love to hear about it if you have experience with
  • Bash and powershell scripting
  • Terraform
  • Provisioning and administrating Windows Servers and VMs
  • Provisioning and managing SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
  • Managing Windows Active Directory
