Our Senior Platform Engineers have the opportunity to drive automation, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud-native transformation projects. They lead Scrum teams that leverage DevSecOps or SRE approaches, delivering innovative solutions with hyperscale partners.

Capgemini's cloud-native engineering community is industry-leading, ensuring demanding applications are available and developing for future needs.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between Company offices, client sites, and your home, based on role and needs. You cannot work 100% remotely.

Your role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will:

• Mentor teams and collaborate to find the best progress methods.
• Transform Product Owners' visions into reality, enhancing developer experiences and enabling cloud-native technology adoption.
• Partner with strategy, enterprise architecture, and application teams on cloud automation and Kubernetes projects.
• Encourage and develop engineers, promoting the latest technologies.

Your skills and experience

You should be a motivated IT professional with practical experience in cloud technologies, infrastructure, and operations. You should have:

• Knowledge of cloud-native tools, languages, and methods, with expertise in 1 or 2 areas like containers, CI/CD pipelines, or IaC.
• Willingness to share ideas and industry insights.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Certifications or progress towards professional cloud certifications; support available for this.
• Knowledge of microservices platforms is a plus.

Your security clearance

Obtaining Security Check (SC) clearance is required. Applicants must have resided in the UK continuously for the past 5 years and meet other criteria. Questions about eligibility will be part of the recruitment process. Some roles may be restricted to UK nationals for security reasons.
