About the Role

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will support the Head of IT Services and the UK Shared Services function in delivering IT Platform and Domain Services to QinetiQ.

Within the UK Shared Services team, you will provide support and subject matter expertise to the IT Services function, executing planned or requested activities to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Your Responsibilities

1. Providing operational service support during incident and problem management activities related to your area of expertise.
2. Developing, planning, and assisting in deploying new technologies and enhancing existing systems.
3. Supporting the service transition of new technologies and services into operational support.
4. Developing solutions and services aligned with QinetiQ’s strategies and requirements.
5. Maintaining knowledge of new technologies to understand their applicability and support needs.

Work Details

This role is 37 hours per week, based at any of our main UK locations.

Essential Experience

1. Extensive experience with enterprise-level IT systems.
2. Strong experience with Azure Cloud systems.
3. Experience administering Linux Operating Systems, including CentOS and Redhat, is advantageous.
4. Knowledge of IT Security Standards and practical application experience.
5. Understanding of ISO 27001.
6. Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
